DESCRIPTION
The Roads and Drainage Division requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors who were interested in a pressure grouting project to stabilize Power Line Road in Haines City, Florida. A geotechnical exploration was done by Madrid Engineering in August of 2022, which identified the area as a potential sinkhole and recommended the County use pressure grouting to stabilize the area. The project involves pressure grouting loose soils and voids that are located underneath Power Line Road, approximately 0.15 miles north of Johnson Ave. This process will fill any voids or loose rock in upper portion of limestone, to densify loose and soft soils overlaying the limestone surface and to increase the strength of sediments in the failure plane of the slope.
Bid 24-006, Power Line Road Pressure Grouting was issued, and two contractors submitted bids. The lowest responsive bid was submitted by Earth Tech, LLC.

A recommendation of award was issued to Earth Tech, LLC., and no protests were received. In accordance with Resolution No. 13-066, $17,541.00 was added to the contract for allowance work for a total contract amount of $368,361.00. The contract time for this project is 180 days to final completion. Allowance time for the project is 27 days.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve a construction contract with Earth Tech, LLC in the amount of $368,361.00 for Bid 24-006 Power Line Road Pressure Grouting.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available in the Transportation Millage Fund.
