DESCRIPTION
A public hearing is required to consider adoption of an ordinance amending Polk County Ordinance 2022-029, the Polk County Local Provider Participation Fund Ordinance (the “Ordinance”). The proposed amending ordinance modifies the current requirement that all hospitals subject to the Ordinance must execute the prescribed Hold Harmless and Indemnification form referenced therein. Specifically, the modification would reduce the number of hospitals required to execute said form to those hospitals which are collectively responsible for seventy-five percent (75%) or more of the total Assessment amount imposed by the County on all Assessed Properties in any given year.
RECOMMENDATION
Set a public hearing on May 7, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. or soon thereafter for purposes of considering adoption of an ordinance amending Polk County Ordinance 2022-029, the Polk County Local Provider Participation Fund Ordinance.
FISCAL IMPACT
No fiscal impact will be realized by setting the hearing.
