DESCRIPTION
The proposed ordinance will call for a referendum on November 5, 2024, for proposed amendment to the Polk County Charter to merge the Efficiency Commission with the Charter Review Commission for expense reduction. The proposed amendment would authorize the Charter Review Commission, by resolution approved by majority of the members appointed, conduct a comprehensive study, including but not limited to, the organization, structure, effectiveness and efficiency of any board, officer, authority, agency, division, department or other unit of government included within the budget approved by the Polk County Board of County Commissioners.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the proposed ordinance calling a referendum on November 5, 2024, for proposed amendment to the Polk County Charter to merge the Efficiency Commission with the Charter Review Commission for expense reduction.
