DESCRIPTION
On February 18, 2014, the Board approved Contract 14-22 with Pushpal Banerjee, D.O. to provide Medical Director Services for the county’s Fire Rescue and EMS Divisions for an annual fee in the amount of $210,000.00 for a term of five years. Amendment No 1 was approved by the Board on June 7, 2016, increasing the annual fee by 3% to $216,300.00 and allowing for educational and travel reimbursement.
The County Manager approved Amendment No. 2 on January 30, 2019, extending the term of the contract for four years through February 17, 2023.
The Board approved Amendment No. 3, on January 17, 2023, extending the term of the contract for an additional two years through February 17, 2025, and increased the annual fee for services to $227,115.00, a 5% increase.
This Amendment No. 4 will increase the annual fee by 1% to $229,386.00 for providing assistance with medical review and advisement on firefighter cancer claims on an as needed basis. The effective date of the increase is February 18, 2024.

FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Fire Rescue General Fund for this amendment.
