DESCRIPTION
On June 6, 2018, the Board Approved Consulting Service Agreement 18-27 with Patel, Greene & Associates to provide professional engineering services for the West Pipkin Road Widening Project, including, permitting, final design, bidding support and construction/right-of-way support services in the amount of $993,506.06.

On July 2, 2019, Amendment No. 1 was approved to extend the project further east from Dorman Road to South Florida Avenue. This additional scope of service added $468,217.50 and 18 months to the project.

On October 1, 2019, Amendment No. 2 was approved to include additional scope that was needed due to discoveries made during preparation. This additional scope added $379,064.39 and the project end date did not extend. Amendment No. 2 also allowed for a Joint Partnership Agreement (JPA) with the City of Lakeland for the design and relocations of their water and sanitary sewer systems associated with the road widening project. The JPA allowed the Consultant to design all of the utility relocations on behalf of the City. The City provided $192,565.00 to cover the costs of the design work.

On April 21, 2020, Amendment No. 3 was approved to include additional analysis and design services. Amendment No. 3 allowed the Consultant to make modifications to existing stormwater management ponds design as well as add additional U-turn accommodations that were needed. An additional cost of $232,508.20 from the County was needed for the additional design services. There were no additional days need for Amendment No. 3.

On January 5, 2021, Amendment No. 4 was approved to include additional analysis and design services. This amendment allowed for the Consultant to design for the replacement of three existing box/bridge culverts. Also, these additional services provided utility design work for...
