DESCRIPTION
A General Notice of Lien was recorded on September 5, 2018 imposing a lien against the parcels subject to the West Bimini Bay Municipal Services Benefit Unit (MSBU). The lien secured the County’s costs associated with upgrading the Bimini Bay community’s substandard water distribution system and its substandard wastewater collection systems against those properties within the MSBU receiving the benefit of such improvements.
The County has received and processed payment in the amount of $464,106.93 in full satisfaction of the lien. Once executed, the attached Release of Lien shall be recorded in the public records to acknowledge satisfaction of the lien.
RECOMMENDATION
Authorize the Chairman to execute the Release of Lien and authorize staff to record the Release of Lien in the Public Records of Polk County, Florida.
FISCAL IMPACT
The cost of recording the Release of Lien is $35.50 and will be paid from the appropriate Utilities fund, 42011.650536000.
