DESCRIPTION

Tri-County Human Services, Inc. (TCHS) provides a substance abuse treatment program in the Polk County men’s jail facility called Jail Alternatives to Substance Abuse (JASA). The JASA program focuses on the substance abuse issues of adult male offenders by providing an array of services in order to develop the participant's cognitive, behavioral, social and vocational skills.

 

The contract with TCHS is effective October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. The first amendment to the contract will extend the term of the contract to March 31, 2023. The contract extension will allow for the continuation of program services while alternative funding sources are secured.

 

RECOMMENDATION

Request Board approve the first amendment to the contract with Tri-County Human Services, Inc. for Men’s JASA “Jail Alternatives to Substance Abuse” Program.

 

FISCAL IMPACT

Funds are budgeted in the Indigent Health Care Funds.
