Approve the 2022-2023 Polk County Workforce Development Board’s Final Budget. (No fiscal impact.)

DESCRIPTION
State law requires that the Board of County Commissioners approve the budget of the Polk County Workforce Development Board, Inc. (CareerSource Polk) each fiscal year. CareerSource Polk’s budget process calls for approval of a preliminary budget before July 1 of each year and a final budget to be considered in August, once the final dollar amounts are released by the State of Florida. The total final budget for approval is $11,096,386. Although many of the funding sources allow up to 10% for administration, CareerSource Polk only requires 5% with the remainder used for programs.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve the 2022-2023 Polk County Workforce Development Board, Inc.’s Final Budget.
