DESCRIPTION
Parks and Natural Resources Division requested Procurement to solicit proposals for the purpose of managing invasive plant species at four Polk County environmental lands program sites. The sites are Crooked Lake West, Lake Lowery Marsh, Marshall Hampton Reserve and Circle B-Bar Reserve and are managed by the county to protect the diversity of native species plants from a variety of non-native invasive species plants.
Request for Proposal (RFP) 22-151, Invasive Species Management Services for Environmental Lands was issued, and one firm submitted a proposal. On May 3, 2022, the Board approved the selection committees’ recommendation and authorized staff to enter into negotiations with Ground Level, Inc.
The management and maintenance fees are a lump sum amount to be paid annually as follows:
Years 1 and 2: $68,900.00 per year
Years 3, 4 and 5: $55,650.00 per year
The term of this agreement will be for a 5-year time period. The total project cost is $304,750.00.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve agreement with Ground Level, Inc. in regard to RFP 22-151 Invasive Species Management Services for Environmental Lands in the amount of $304,750.00.
FISCAL IMPACT
The funds are budgeted within the Special Revenue Grant Fund.
