DESCRIPTION
This is a County-initiated LDC text amendment to modify Section 922 to modify De Novo Hearing procedures to change the times in which a De Novo appeal must be heard and provide options for requests to continue a hearing. On September 7, 2022, the Planning Commission voted 7-0 to recommend approval of this amendment.
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set hearings for a first reading on October 4, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. and the second reading on October 18, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.
