Approve a Supplemental Agreement to a State-Funded LAP Grant Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). (No Fiscal Impact)

DESCRIPTION
On March 19, 2019, the Board approved a LAP Agreement with FDOT for the Crystal Lake Elementary School sidewalk improvement project (FPN 441481-1-38/58/68-01) and the FDOT executed it on June 18, 2019. At that time FDOT provided funding in the amount of $557,675.00 broken down into $68,912.00 for design, $417,646.00 for construction and $71,117.00 for Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI).
On November 3, 2020, the Board approved contract 2022-046 with Baslee Engineering Solutions, Inc. (BES) for the design of the Crystal Lake Elementary School sidewalk improvements in the amount of $89,502.82. The design has been completed and the project is ready to be bid out for construction.
The FDOT has agreed to modify the existing agreement so that the County can use FDOT’s continuing services contract for the CEI phase. This would change the CEI funds (phase 68) in the amount of $77,117.00 to a phase 62. The County will be responsible for any costs in excess of the State provided funds.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board authorize the Chairperson to execute the Supplemental Agreement No. FPN 441481-1-38/58/62-01 with the FDOT.
