DESCRIPTION
The RSVP Grant is a three-year grant, funded by the CNCS, engaging 130 volunteers aged 55+ years, in volunteer opportunities improving the Polk County Community. The Notice of Grant Awards is for year three of the three-year grant cycle. The budget period for this award will cover April 1, 2024 - March 31, 2025.
Grant funding includes $95,744 in grant revenue and Polk County will be providing a cash match of $69,851 or 42.18% of the program budget. The matches are necessary to fully fund the program, staffing and operations.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board accept the Notice of Grant Award for $95,744 towards the operation of the RSVP Polk program and staff.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Special Revenue Grant Fund, funds for the cash match are included in the General Fund budget.
