DESCRIPTION
Polk County Emergency Management Radio Services has Vertiv UPS/Power/Battery Services at thirteen Public Safety Radio System tower sites. These units can only be serviced by the manufacturers authorized service provider.
The current service agreement, approved in FY21, to maintain these units is based on a 3-year cycle that will expire on 9/30/2024. This service agreement will allow the continuation of maintenance for the UPS units for an additional 3-year cycle ensuring continued manufacturer’s authorized maintenance support and emergency service from 10/1/2024 through 9/30/2027.
RECOMMENDATION
Request approval of the Service Agreement with Vertiv Corporation.
FISCAL IMPACT
The total cost over the life of the three-year contract cycle is $116,716.21. The first-year cost of $31,352.52 will be budgeted in FY 24/25 in the Radio Communications Fund, and the remaining years’ costs will be budgeted during the appropriate upcoming budget processes.
