DESCRIPTION
On February 20, 2023, the County Manager approved Agreement 2023-005 with UNICOM Government, Inc. (UGI) in the amount of $95,868.06 to provide and install audio-visual equipment for a new broadcast system in Conference Room 407 of the County Administration Building in Bartow, FL. The broadcast system was necessary for the use of the audio-visual equipment with or without TV broadcasting. The installation was completed on July 19, 2023.
The Communications Division has since discovered that the microphones installed were not picking up discussion from those seated at various locations within the room. Communications has requested UGI install additional microphones to increase the audio range. This amendment No. 1, in the amount of $21,326.74, provides for the purchase and installation of additional ceiling mounted microphones.
The work is anticipated to be completed within 60 days.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve Amendment No. 1 to Agreement 2023-005 with UNICOM Government, Inc. for additional audio-visual and broadcast system equipment in the amount of $21,326.74.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding is available within the Communications’ Division’s general fund operating budget.
