DESCRIPTION
The Communications and Health & Human Services Divisions, requested Procurement solicit proposals for the purpose of providing research, advertising, and related marketing services to promote the Polk HealthCare Plan. The plan provides health care to uninsured, Polk County residents whose income does not exceed 200% of the Federal poverty level and is funded through the County's half cent sales surtax. These services are needed to assist county staff with marketing the program to the growing needs of County's uninsured, lower income population.
Request for Proposal (RFP) 24-178, Advertising & Related Marketing Services for Indigent Health Care Programs was issued, and six vendors submitted proposals. The selection committee met on Friday, April 26, 2024, to evaluate and score the proposals. The top two scoring proposers were elevated for interviews, scheduled May 3, 2023. After the interviews, the consensus of the selection committee was to request the Board authorize staff to enter into contract negotiations with both proposers, starting with the highest ranked proposer, Vistra Communications, LLC.
