body
DESCRIPTION
The County entered into an agreement with WSP USA on May 3, 2022, to provide professional engineering services for the South Lake Wales drainage improvement project in the amount of $214,748.00. The project consisted of updates to an existing drainage study, design, engineering, and post design services.
On August 8, 2023, Amendment 1 in the amount of $90,910.00 was approved by the Board to allow WSP USA to perform a drainage analysis to support the Washington Street closed conveyance system and new US 27 drainage connection.
During this analysis, it was determined that subsurface utility engineering investigations are needed to complete the additional design. Additionally, the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) has requested the project area be reviewed for possible effects on historic properties.
This Amendment 2 provides for the additional subsurface utility engineering and survey services, historic property review as well as post design services at a not-to-exceed cost of $67,115.25. This will bring the total project to a not-to-exceed cost of $372,773.25.
This project is fully funded through the American Rescue Plan through the United States Department of Treasury.
