body
DESCRIPTION
Request the Board, by its own motion, vacate platted, unopened, and unmaintained right-of-way lying south of the platted park, as shown on the plat of Camp Lester, recorded in Plat Book 33, Page 38, Public Records of Polk County, Florida. The subject right-of-way lies in Section 12, Township 29 South, Range 29 East.
The plat of Camp Lester, filed in 1948, dedicated to the public various rights-of-ways throughout the plat. The County is requesting to vacate the platted, unnamed, right-of-way running east of Reese Drive and lying south of the parcel identified as “Park” on the plat. Vacating the right-of-way will remove public interest and allow the subject area to be assembled with the adjacent park parcel. The County contacted the adjacent property owners to the south and east and received no objections to the proposed vacation.
Frontier Communications, Alternative Choice Wireless and Duke Energy were contacted and have no objections to the proposed vacation.
The Roads and Drainage Division, Office of Planning and Development, and Utilities Division have no objections to the proposed vacation.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board adopt a resolution to vacate platted, unopened, and unmaintained right-of-way lying south of the platted park shown on the plat of Camp Lester as more fully described in the legal description contained in the resolution attached hereto.
FISCAL IMPACT
No fiscal impact.
