body
DESCRIPTION
Polk County’s E-911 system requires new and evolving technologies to facilitate timely dispatching of Law Enforcement and Fire Rescue and advanced Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) analytics to reduce emergency response times. RapidDeploy has been selected by the Polk County E-911 Coordinator and by the Polk County Sheriff's Office Emergency Communications Center, Bartow Police Department, Lakeland Police Department, and Lake Alfred Police Department.
The RapidDeploy system consists of Radius Mapping and Eclipse Analytics. Radius Mapping brings together real time 911 mapping, integration with the Polk County Public Schools Alyssa’s Alert system, and provides the ability for future implementation of video to 911. Eclipse Analytics will assist in analyzing call processing times, call routing, call volume, and data reporting to reduce response times.
The RapidDeploy Software-as-a-Service agreement term is for 6 years, purchased through AK Associates, who will manage implementation and training. The first-year total is $10,000 and years two through six will be $310,800 annually, total $1,564,000.00.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board approve the Software-as-a-Service agreement with RapidDeploy.
FISCAL IMPACT
Year one funding of $10,000 is available in the FY 23/24 Emergency 911 Fund. Funding for years two through six will be included in subsequent Emergency 911 Fund budgets.
