DESCRIPTION
The County entered into agreement 2023-070 with Aetna on December 5, 2023, to provide integrated medical and pharmacy benefits administration for the Board of County Commissioners and all five Constitutional Officers. The services included medical and pharmacy plan administration, claims processing, formulary management, COBRA, and incentive plan administration. This agreement was effective January 1, 2024 for a three-year term with 2 more one-year renewal options.
After the agreement was executed and implemented, the County and Aetna concluded the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services were inadvertently excluded.
This Amendment 1 incorporates the EAP services into Agreement 2023-070, effective January 1, 2024.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board approve Amendment 1 to Agreement 2023-070, with Aetna.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available within the Polk County Employee Health Fund.
