DESCRIPTION
On December 19, 2023, the Board approved CSA No. 22-088-03 with the Consultant to provide temporary staff to the Roads & Drainage Division, Project Management Section at a cost not-to-exceed fee $136,760.00. The on-loan Project Manager began working full-time, as an independent contractor, on county projects on January 3, 2024. The CSA and correlated NTE fee contemplated use of the Consultant services through July 2024, or 1,079 hours. County staff are still in the recruiting process to hire a new full time county employee Project Manager. This CSA modification is needed to allow the on-loan Project Manager to continue to work full time for the County. This will increase the CSA amount by $142,230.40 and will bring the not-to-exceed cost to a new total of $278,990.40. This increase represents an additional six months of estimated Consultant services, or 1,079 hours, as detailed in Exhibit “A” of this CSA Modification No. 1.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board approve Modification No. 1 to CSA No. 22-088-03 with the Consultant in the amount of $142,230.40, resulting in a new total contract amount of $278,990.40 to continue to provide temporary staff to the Roads & Drainage Division, Project Management Section.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available in the Transportation Millage Fund.
