DESCRIPTION
This is a County-initiated request to change the Future Land Use designation on +/- 6.88 acres on a drainage and floodplain compensation tract from Residential Low-X (RL-X) and Office Center-X (OCX) to Preservation-X (PRESVX) in the Green Swamp Area of Critical State Concern, for property located north of Socrum Loop Road, east of Socrum Loop Road N, west of Grady Mock Road, north of the City of Lakeland, in Section 18, Township 27, Range 24.
State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on June 5th, 2024, with a recommendation for approval (Vote 7:0). This is the transmittal to the Florida Department of Commerce hearing. The adoption hearing will be held on December 17, 2024.
