Accept Utility Easements in conjunction a proposed potable water main along Odom Lane. (No Fiscal Impact)

DESCRIPTION
The owner of a parcel of land at the southern end of a private roadway known as Odom Lane, running south off of Socrum Loop Road North in the Lakeland area, contacted the County to request potable water service due to water quality concerns with a private well which is failing. In order to provide service to the property a water line would need to be installed along Odom Road from an existing water main along Socrum Loop Road; however, there are no existing easements in place which would allow for the installation along the private roadway. County staff contacted the owners of the properties along the roadway and requested 40-foot wide easements to accommodate the installation of the water main which would also allow for future service connections to their properties. The owners, John S. Freel, Harold and Lavenia Flatt and Bao Nguyen and Cuc Thi Van, have all agreed to the request and have executed and delivered Utility Easements to the County. Accepting the Utility Easements will allow the County to move forward with the potable water main extension which will allow for the requested connection to the owners requesting service and allow for any future requested service connections to the other property owners along the roadway.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board accept the aforementioned Utility Easements.
