DESCRIPTION
The Transportation Planning Organization requested Procurement to solicit proposals from qualified firms to provide a Vision Zero Action Plan. The goal of this project is to produce a completed Vision Zero Action Plan that will enhance the past and ongoing Vision Zero efforts of Polk County and its municipal partners. The project will result in a federally qualifying, highly rated, comprehensive, and robust strategy to reach the target of zero fatalities countywide. This Action Plan will make Polk County and its municipal partners eligible for future Federal SS4A Implementation Grants.
Request for Proposal (RFP) 23-565, Professional Planning Services for the Vision Zero Action Plan under the Safe Streets for All Road Users (SS4A) Grant Program was issued, and four vendors submitted proposals. The selection committee met on June 21, 2024, to evaluate and score the proposals and 3 vendors were elevated for interviews. On July 12, 2024, the selection committee conducted interviews and received presentations from all three vendors. After the interviews, the consensus of the selection committee was to request the Board authorize staff to enter into contract negotiations with all proposers, beginning with the highest ranked proposer, AECOM Technical Services.
