DESCRIPTION
The Roads and Drainage Division requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors who were interested in constructing drainage improvements and repairs to Richburg Road, Pine Street, Oak Street, and Maple Street located within NW Wahneta. Work primarily consists of replacing drainage culverts, driveways, ditch grading, and water line improvements. The Project will result in the reconstruction of over approximately 140-driveways. The water line improvements will include the construction of a new 6" water main with new service lines.
In addition to the county's drainage improvements and repairs, on July 2, 2024, the County entered into a Joint Project Agreement with the City of Eagle Lake to include the relocation of certain potable water distribution lines which are located in unincorporated Polk County within the City of Eagle Lake service area. In accordance with the agreement, the city will reimburse the County for their share of the project.
Bid 24-425, NW Wahneta Drainage Improvement Project - ARP was issued, and three contractors submitted bids. The lowest responsive bid was submitted by Central Concrete Products, Inc.
