DESCRIPTION
On August 2, 2004, Polk Vision, Inc. adopted the Polk Vision. The Polk Vision serves as an aspirational vision for Polk County’s twenty-year future from both a qualitative and quantitative lens, focusing on Growth Management and Infrastructure, Economic Advancement, Education, Community Health and Well-Being, Government, Civic Engagement, and Arts, Culture and Recreation. Following extensive and inclusive public participation, Polk Vision. Inc, has prepared a refresh to its original Polk Vision document to recognize accomplishments made since 2004, as well as changes within Polk County since 2004, and to set aspirational goals for a new twenty-year time period through 2044.
RECOMMENDATION
Recommend the Board accept the 2024 Polk Vision Refresh Document
