DESCRIPTION
Lakeland Regional Health provides primary care services in an effort to appropriately link residents to needed medical care to improve overall health and to decrease local emergency room overcrowding by individuals that can best be served in a primary care setting. Services are provided to qualified low-income Polk County residents at the Morrell clinic, and the Kathleen Campus, both in Lakeland.
The current contract is set to term September 30, 2024. This first amendment is to continue funding and extend the contract term to September 30, 2026. A fee schedule has been established to reimburse LRH an agreed upon rate per patient visit and reimbursement for prescription drugs invoiced.
This funding request was presented to and is recommended for approval by the Citizen’s HealthCare Oversight Committee (COC).
