DESCRIPTION
County Ordinance 13-069 addresses the collection, management, and disposal of Solid Waste within unincorporated Polk County, to include Residential Collection Service. Beginning October 1, 2024, mandatory Residential Collection Services will not include the separate collection of Recyclable Materials. As an alternative, Residential Recyclable Materials collection could be provided from those granted a nonexclusive franchise from the County to provide that service. The proposed ordinance would revise Ordinance 13-069 to implement these changes.
RECOMMENDATION
Set a public hearing for September 3, 2024 at 9:15 a.m. to consider adoption of the proposed ordinance.
