DESCRIPTION
Polk County has an agreement with the Polk County Workforce Development Board, Inc d/b/a CareerSource Polk regarding the one-stop operator duties imposed by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity act (WIOA). The agreement authorizes CareerSource Polk to fulfill the duties of the one-stop operator.
The agreement between the Florida Department of Commerce and CareerSource Polk, specifies that the County has designated CareerSource Polk as the local grant subrecipient for the federal workforce development funds and the Florida Department of Commerce requires the County to acknowledge the designation as part of this agreement.
RECOMMENDATION
Acknowledge the designation of CareerSource Polk as the local grant subrecipient as part of an agreement between CareerSource Polk and the Florida Department of Commerce and authorize the Chair to sign on behalf of the County.
