Approve the second amendment to the contract with Parkview Outreach Community Center, Inc. (Parkview) to provide primary and specialty care services to eligible low-income residents. (Total amount not to exceed $306,090 annually.)

DESCRIPTION
Parkview provides medical services including, but not limited to, primary care, specialty care, ancillary and diagnostic services to eligible low-income county residents. Currently, the county is contracted with Parkview effective October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2025.
The first amendment increased Parkview’s annual funding by $38,874 allowing Parkview to add two part-time Medical Assistants, Electronic Medical Records, Psychiatric Services via telehealth and women’s health.
This second amendment will: 1) increase the annual funding by an additional $91,978 for staff salaries for their prescription assistance program; and 2) extend the term of the contract to September 30, 2026. The second amendment will be effective October 1, 2024.
This funding request was presented to and approved by the Citizen’s HealthCare Oversight Committee.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve the second amendment to the contract with Parkview to provide primary and specialty care services to eligible low-income county residents.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available and budgeted in the Indigent Health Care Fund.
