DESCRIPTION
Bid 24-006 was approved by the Board on April 2, 2024, in the amount of $368,361.00. The scope of work included pressure grouting a sinkhole that formed in county right-of-way on Power Line Road, approximately ½ mile north of Johnson Avenue. The unit price contract for the pressure grouting included an estimated quantity for the cubic yards of grout to be pumped into the ground for sinkhole stabilization. The estimated quantity of grout was exceeded by 869.7 cubic yards. There are savings from under-running the quantities for steel casings and for unused contingency and allowance funds. Overall, an additional $190,730.80 is needed to reimburse the contractor for the work completed. The new contract amount will be $559,091.80 upon approval of Change Order No. 1.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board approve Change Order No. 1 with the Contractor at a cost of $190,730.80 for the Power Line Road Sinkhole Repair Project.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available in the Transportation Millage Fund.
