DESCRIPTION
This is an applicant-initiated request for a Land Development (LDC) text amendment to Sections 2.135, Parcel Specific Future Land Use Amendments with conditions referencing that the subject site has land development conditions in Appendix E of the LDC. LDCT-2024-22 is an LDC text amendment to Appendix E to add conditions for buffering the access road to Martin Marietta and AirGas from current and future residential units. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on January 8th, with a recommendation of denial (Vote:6:1).
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted. This is the first of the two hearings.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt after the second reading on April 1, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
