DESCRIPTION
This is a County initiated request for a Land Development Code (LDC) text amendment to Amend Chapter 4, Section 402.C of the LDC, to create a new use table for Indian Lake Estates, and add language regarding sewer connections and duplexes in the Office Center (OCX) land use designation with conditions. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on January 8th, with a recommendation of denial (Vote:6:1).
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted. This is the first of the two hearings.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt after the second reading on April 1, 2025, at 9:15 a.m.
