DESCRIPTION
The County has received the following requests to adopt resolutions vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming any rights of the County or the public in certain platted rights-of-way. Florida Statutes, Section 336.10, requires the Commissioners hold a public hearing to consider Petitions adopting resolutions vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming property under their control. Setting a public hearing date will comply with Florida Statutes and allow the request to be considered.
Request Board set a public hearing date for the following requests to vacate rights-of-way. Suggested Hearing Date: Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., or immediately following the regular agenda:
1. Consider a petition by C.B. Myers III, P.A., as authorized agent for Louis and Melanie Crumbley, individually and as Trustees; Green Karma, LLC; Luke and Alison Claremont as Trustees; Patrick and Teresa Frankenburger; Moody, LLC and Harris Hartley to adopt a resolution vacating various platted and unmaintained rights-of-way lying adjacent to Blocks 9, 13 and 14 in the SE 1/4 of Section 24, Township 30 South, Range 27 East and lying adjacent to Blocks 2, 3, 19, 20, and 35 in the NE 1/4 of Section 25, Township 30 South, Range 25 East and lying adjacent to Blocks 9, 24 and 25 in the NW 1/4 of Section 30, Township 30 South, Range 28 East, all as shown on the Revised Plat of Crooked Lake recorded in Plat Book 27 at Page 47, Public Records of Polk County, Florida.
