DESCRIPTION
This is an applicant-initiated request for property located on the west side of Lake Marion Creek Drive, north of Marigold Avenue, east of Lake Marion, south of Pine and east of Haines City, in Sections 9 & 10, Township 28, Range 28.
State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on September 2, 2026, with a recommendation for approval (Vote 7:0) of the amendment. Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted. This is the second of the two hearings.
