DESCRIPTION
The Crosswinds East Community Development District (CDD) was approved by the Board on January 5, 2022, under ORD 2022-051. It contained a total of 3,090 residential units within 752.59 acres located East of U.S. Highway 17/92, north of Johnson Avenue (CR 580), east and west of Power Line Road, east of the City of Davenport, north, east, and including Haines City, in Sections 11, 14, 22, 23 and 24, Township 27, Range 27. Exhibit A of Ordinance No. 22-001 contained a scrivener’s error in the metes and bounds description of the external boundaries of the CDD. The error was in the calculation of the acreage within the metes and bounds description. The CDD actually encompasses approximately 794 acres of land. This amendment does not add or remove any of the properties from the CDD. Maps are included as attachments to this agenda item along with an affidavit from the project’s Civil Engineer attesting to the accuracy of the revised legal description.
The Board of County Commissioners is required pursuant to Section 190.046 F.S. to hold a public hearing to decide upon amending of a CDD.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the ordinance.
