Approve Subordination Agreement between Polk County and The City of Lakeland in conjunction with the CR 542 (East Main Street) at Combee Road Intersection Improvement Project. (No fiscal impact)

DESCRIPTION
The County has a project within the current CIP to improve the intersection of County Road 542 (E. Main Street) at Combee Road (SR 659) by adding turn lanes and associated improvements. All of the right-of-way for the project has been acquired; however, one of the right-of-way parcels is encumbered with utility easements granted to the City of Lakeland, (hereinafter “City”). The County has requested the City subordinate its interest in those portions of the subject utility easements lying within the right-of-way parcel. The City has agreed to the County’s request and has approved and executed a Subordination Agreement for the parcel encumbered with the easements. Approving the Subordination Agreement will authorize the Chairman to execute the document and allow its recordation, which will allow the County to fully utilize the parcel for the project.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve the above-mentioned Subordination Agreement.
