DESCRIPTION
In 2017-18, the Countyline Road over Peace River Bridge 160101 was selected and adopted into the Local Government Deficient Bridge (LGDB) Program due to its substructure conditions which rated the structure as structurally deficient. Under this program the FDOT fully covered the design, permitting, utility coordination costs and will partially fund the construction up-to $3,750,000.00 or 75% of the construction costs, whichever is less. The Department proposes to enter a Construction, Locally Funded, Maintenance and Escrow Agreement (FPN: 439441-1-C2-52, 439441-1-52-01, 439441-1-62-01, and 439441-1-62-08) with the County. The County will be responsible for an advance deposit in the amount of $4,956,658.00 in association to the anticipated costs in excess of the State funds provided for Construction and CEI services.
A CIP Amendment and Budget Transfer from the Transportation Millage Fund is needed to establish the Countyline Rd over Peace River Bridge 160101 Replacement Project in the Roads & Drainage Division CIP.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board authorize the Chairman to execute the LGDB Agreement (FPN: 439441-1-C2-52, 439441-1-52-01, 439441-1-62-01, and 439441-1-62-08) with the FDOT, resolution and approve a CIP Amendment and budget transfer to establish a Project for the LGDB Agreement in the amount of $4,956,658.00 for FY 23/24.
