Florida Statutes allow for the conveyance of lands acquired by the County for delinquent taxes to the municipality in which the land is located. The City has been contacted and has agreed to the conveyance of the County’s interest in these properties. Authorizing the conveyance of the County’s interest in the subject parcels to the City will allow the parcels to be removed from the County Land Inventory and eliminate any future maintenance responsibilities associated with the parcels. The County’s interest in these subject parcels is being conveyed in “as is” condition and the conveyance will be by County Deed.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board authorize the conveyance by County Deed of the County’s interest, including any interest that may otherwise be reserved by Florida Statutes, in the above-mentioned parcels to the City of Lakeland.
FISCAL IMPACT
