DESCRIPTION
On March 5, 2025, the County Manager approved CSA No. 2021-031-03 with SLAM Collaborative in the amount of $99,500.00 for providing professional consultant services associated with the Polk County Courthouse High Voltage Switchgear and Generator Study at the Bartow Courthouse, 255 North Broadway Avenue, Bartow, FL 33830.
Modification No. 01, to CSA No. 2021-031-03, with SLAM Collaborative aims to integrate the High Voltage and Switchgear Study with the necessary Architectural Services, Electrical and Civil Engineering modifications to the newly purchased property at 222 East Main Street, Bartow, FL 33830, to include demolition of an existing building, modifications for a new generator, parking, security wall and future mechanical and electrical expansions for the Bartow Courthouse. The cost of this additional service is a lump sum amount of $85,150.00.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve Modification No. 01 to CSA No.2021-031-03 with SLAM Collaborative for the Polk County High Voltage Switchgear and Generator Study as a scope of services expansion to include additional Architectural Services, Electrical and Civil Engineering for property recently purchased at 222 East Main Street, Bartow, FL 33830.
Approval of Modification No. 01 to CSA NO. 2021-031-03 in the amount of $85,150.00 plus the original fee amount of $99,500.00 provides for a total CSA cost of $184,650.00.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted in the General Capital Improvement Fund within the Bartow Courthouse Electrical Upgrades project.
