DESCRIPTION
The County has received the following requests to adopt resolutions vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming any rights of the County or the public in portions of platted and unmaintained rights-of-way along with a portion of a platted public utility easement. Florida Statutes, Section 336.10, requires the Commissioners hold a public hearing to consider Petitions adopting resolutions vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming property under their control. Setting a public hearing date will comply with Florida Statutes and allow the request to be considered.
Request Board set a public hearing date for the following requests to vacate portions of platted and unmaintained rights-of-way and a portion of a platted public utility easement. Suggested Hearing Date: Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., or immediately following the regular agenda:
1. Consider a petition by Kelly L. Yudichak, to adopt a resolution vacating a portion of platted and unmaintained right-of-way lying north of Lot 13, Block 5 of Leisure Shores recorded in Plat Book 46, at Page 4 and lying south of Lot 5, Block “D” of the Revised Map of Lake View recorded in Plat Book 3, at Page 80. The subject lies in Section 7, Township 28 South, Range 26 East.
2. Consider a petition by Christopher A. Desrochers, as authorized representative for Brion G. Babula and Janet F. Babula, to adopt a resolution vacating a portion of a platted utility easement over Lots 5 through 7 and Lots 19 through 24, as shown on the plat of Shadow Wood Unit 2, recorded in Plat Book 28. The subject lies in Section 35, Township 28 South, Range 25 East.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., or immediately following the regular agenda, to consider the preceding items.
