DESCRIPTION
The Roads and Drainage Division requested Procurement solicit bids from qualified contractors for the construction of intersection improvements at Country Club Road at Buckeye Loop Road Intersection Improvements. The work consists of installing a new traffic signal and roadway improvements.
The purpose of this project is to improve the overall operational performance of the intersection by implementing improvements that will provide an acceptable level of service on all approaches.
Bid 26-217, Country Club Road at Buckeye Loop Road Intersection Improvements project was issued, and eight (8) contractors submitted a bid.

A recommendation of award was issued to Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC and no protests were received. Since the bid and associated contract was issued prior to Resolution 2026-052, approved on June 16, 2026, this contract is in accordance with Resolution No. 13-066, $132,141.00 was added to the contract for allowance work for a total contract amount of $2,774,976.16. The contract time for this project is 330 days to final completion. Allowance time for the project is 49 days.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve a construction contract with Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC in the amount of $2,774,976.16 for Bid 26-217, Country Club Road at Buckeye Loop Road Intersection Improvements.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available in the Roads and Drainage 5-year CIP within the Transportation Trust Fund.
