DESCRIPTION
The Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 Final Combined Projects Budget for the PRWC is presented for the Board’s consideration and approval. Per the requirements of the Interlocal Agreement creating the Cooperative and entered into on June 1, 2016, the Cooperative shall submit a budget of the Water Project Costs with a copy of the tentative budget no later than 30 days before the budget hearing. The draft Combined Projects Budget was submitted to the Board of Directors for information at the July 2026 BOD meeting.
This budget is related to project work to be completed under the Phase 1 Combined Projects’ Implementation project, which includes the continued work on the West Polk Test Production Well #2 (TPW#2), planning and design, and $1.1M in additional alternative water supply projects approved in March 2026 for:
Peace River Reservoir Feasibility Project - $225,000
Peace River Water Use Permit Application - $275,000
Five-year Regional Water Supply Planning Process - $500,000
Continued Support for Alafia water Supply Project - $50,000
Funds for Other Technical Assistance - $50,000
Included with this agenda item is Resolution 2026-12 which memorializes the Regular Board of Directors action of approving the FY 2027 Final Combined Projects Budget. Exhibit A recaps expenditures on previous FY budgets and the budget for FY 2027. Exhibit B is the participant cost allocation for FY 2027. Project Participants shall be obligated to pay these charges upon receipt of billing to commence October 2026 and end September 2027.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve Resolution 2026-12 for the FY 2027 PRWC Final Combined Projects Budget.
FISCAL IMPACT
Approval of this item will allow PRWC to collect funds from member governments for the PRWC Final Combined Projects Budget as referenced in Exhibit A and Exhibit B of Resolution 2026-12 and to expend funds accordingly.
