DESCRIPTION

The County has received the following requests to adopt resolutions vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming any rights of the County or the public in a portion of a deeded right-of-way for Johnson Road along with a portion of a platted public drainage easement.  Florida Statutes, Section 336.10, requires the Commissioners hold a public hearing to consider Petitions adopting resolutions vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming property under their control. Setting a public hearing date will comply with Florida Statutes and allow the request to be considered.

Request Board set a public hearing date for the following requests to vacate a portion of deeded right-of-way and a portion of a platted public drainage easement. Suggested Hearing Date: Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., or immediately following the regular agenda:

1.                     Consider a petition by Barbara Monday, to adopt a resolution vacating a portion of right-of-way for Johnson Road as described in O.R. Book 1388, at Pages 855 and 856.  The subject lies in Section 20, Township 27 South, Range 25 East.

2.                     Consider a petition by Frank Appunn, to adopt a resolution vacating a portion of a platted public drainage easement over Lot 30, as shown on the plat of Country Class Estates Phase Two, recorded in Plat Book 92, at Pages 45 and 46.  The subject lies in Section 7, Township 28 South, Range 23 East.

RECOMMENDATION

Request Board set a Public Hearing on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 9:00 a.m., or immediately following the regular agenda, to consider the preceding items.
