DESCRIPTION
The Utilities Division requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors who were interested in constructing one Upper Floridan Aquifer (UFA) supplemental supply well with a flow rate of 1,200 gallons per minute. The UFA well is necessary to augment the amount of water delivered to the east regional utility service area alternative water supply receiving facility located near the intersection of Masterpiece Road and Timberlane Road. It is anticipated that this well will replace the existing UFA well that supplies the Timberlake Water Production Facility, allowing the Timberlane Road facility to be decommissioned in the future.
Bid 24-591, East Regional Utility Service Area Alternative Water Supply Receiving Facility Upper Floridan Aquifer Well was issued, and two contractors submitted bids. The lowest responsive bid was submitted by Applied Drilling Engineering, Inc.
