Approve Modification No. 4 to Consultant Services Authorization (CSA) No.17-44-03 with Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. (the “Consultant “) for civil engineering for the Roads and Drainage Ernie Caldwell Dundee Sub-Station project. ($94,904.00 one-time expense)

DESCRIPTION
On April 20, 2021, the Board approved CSA No.17-44-03 with the “Consultant “in the amount of $269,169.54 providing for civil engineering and permitting services for site development required to accommodate the creation of a new Roads and Drainage Maintenance Sub-Station Annex to be located on County owned property in the Dundee area near and off the Ernie Caldwell Boulevard.
On September 21, 2021, the Board approved Modification No. 1 to CSA No.17-44-03 for additional services required to accommodate engineering and permitting for a turn lane analysis at an additional of $ 37,649.00 and for a correction to the original CSA for a $2,000.00 engineering fee calculation error.
On January 18, 2022, the Board approved Modification No. 2 to CSA No.17-44-03 for additional services required for survey methodology in accordance with USFWS guideline for a Sand Skink coverboard survey at an additional cost of $11,464.00.
On January 17, 2024, the Board approved Modification No. 3 to CSA No.17-44-03 to continue engineering, permitting and construction administrative services through final project completion.
Modification No. 4 to CSA No.17-44-03 is needed to authorize the Consultant to additional supplemental survey, geotechnical and engineering analysis and administrative services due to altered site conditions and the County’s acquisition of an adjacent parcel for construction and environmental impact mitigation, the cost of such additional services is a lump sum of $94,904.00.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve Modification No. 4 to CSA No.17-44-03 with the “Consultant “for additional civil engineering services needed for the Roads and Drainage Ernie Caldwell Dundee Sub-Station project in the amount of $94,904.00. the new total lump sum of the services provided under this CSA will be $413,186.54.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $94,904.00 are currently budgeted and available in the Transportation Millage Fund.
