Correction of clerical errors within the Commercial and Multi-Family Reclaimed Water Rates table and Service Fees table of Exhibit “A” to Resolution 2026-078. (No fiscal impact)

DESCRIPTION
On July 21, 2026, the Board adopted Resolution 2026-078 amending connection fees and reclaimed water rates, creating a septage treatment rate, and providing for the indexing of potable water, wastewater, and reclaimed water rates. A full and complete list of all Polk County water utilities rates, fees, and charges was attached to the approved Resolution as Exhibit “A.”
It has come to staff’s attention that the Commercial and Multi-Family Reclaimed Water Rates table and the Service Fees and Deposits table contain the following errors:
1) Page 4 of Exhibit “A” contains a clerical error in the 1” Rate Usage Block Ranges section. The error incorrectly identifies the “76-100” Usage Block Range as “71-100.”
2) Page 6 of Exhibit “A” contains a clerical error in the Relocate Meter Less than 2” meter. The error incorrectly depicts the fee to be $251.00 effective 10-1-29 and $252.00 effective 10-1-30, however this fee is not scheduled to be increased.
The corrected errors are depicted and highlighted on the attachment to this item; the attachment also includes a “clean” corrected Commercial and Multi-Family Reclaimed Water Rates table and Service Fees and Deposits table. The clerical error did not cause any commercial or multi-family reclaimed water customer to be incorrectly billed or charged for its use of reclaimed water.
RECOMMENDATION
Recommend Board approve correction of the clerical errors contained within the Commercial and Multi-Family Reclaimed Water Rates table and Service Fees and Deposits table of Exhibit “A” to Resolution 2026-078 as depicted on the attachment to this item and direct the Clerk of the Board file a copy of this agenda item with Resolution 2026-078.
