DESCRIPTION
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) requests the BoCC release and approve the appropriation and expenditure of $79,000.00 from the Domestic Violence Training Fund for the WiFi, network, and security equipment at the Ridge District in Poinciana. These funds will be used in accordance with FSS 938.08. Per the statute, the agency can utilize the funds for equipment to train law enforcement personnel in combating domestic violence.
RECOMMENDATION
Recommend the Board approve the appropriation and expenditure from the Domestic Violence Training Fund. ($79,000.00 one-time expense)
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available in the Domestic Violence Training Fund.
