DESCRIPTION
The Utilities Division requested Procurement solicit proposals from qualified firms to provide professional engineering services to design, permit, and assist with bidding and construction administration for both a water and wastewater facility to be located in the east regional utility services area. These new facilities are necessary to accommodate anticipated growth in the area south of Lake Hatchineha Road and north of Lake Pierce.
Request for Proposal (RFP) 24-551, Engineering Services for East Regional Water Production and Wastewater Treatment Facilities was issued, and four firms submitted proposals. The selection committee met on Thursday, November 21, 2024, to evaluate and score the proposals. All firms were elevated for interviews. On December 5, 2024, the selection committee conducted interviews and received presentations from the proposers. After the interviews, the selection committee ranked the proposers by project. The consensus of the selection committee was to request the Board authorize staff to enter negotiations with all of the firms, starting with the highest ranked proposer for each project. The following is a listing of the firms and their rankings for each of the two facilities:
