body

DESCRIPTION

The County purchased the 30-acre Daughtery Road property in 2007 to provide additional recreational facilities and to relieve the high demand for field use at nearby Hunt Fountian Park. The property is currently being used by Polk County Utilities Division as an effluent spray field and has an agreement for cattle grazing.

Per the master plan approved by the Board in 2008, Phase I development will be the Northeast area of the property. This phase will include construction of three (3) artificial turf multi-purpose fields (soccer, football, lacrosse), concession / restroom facilities, and associated infrastructure to provide fully functional athletic facilities.

This agreement will provide design, permitting, testing, survey, and construction administration services to prepare for a construction contract and oversight during the construction phase of the project.

RECOMMENDATION

Request Board approve CSA No. 2022-063-02 with Inwood Consulting Engineers, Inc. for Daughtery Road Park Phase I in the amount of $736,759.10.
