DESCRIPTION

The Lake Hamilton Bluff Community Development District (CDD) was adopted by the town of Lake Hamilton in March of 2022.  The CDD has since been expanded once within the town limits. This third amendment involves parcels not yet annexed into the town. The CDD currently covers approximately 266 acres of land and is being expanded to approximately 644 acres by the town. The addition includes two parcels and a portion of a third that are in the unincorporated area which combine to approximately 9.685 acres. Staff recommends approval.

The Board of County Commissioners is required pursuant to Section 190.046 F.S. to hold a public hearing to decide upon the establishment of a CDD.  The Board must consider six criteria found in Section 190.005, F.S. explained in the staff report.

RECOMMENDATION

By voting to approve, the Board finds affirmative for items (1), (3), (4), and (6); find in the negative for items (2), and (5) under Section 190.005, F.S; and adopts the resolution.
